Old crypto wallet with leftover tokens?
Old wallets often contain a strange mix of useful balances, forgotten dust, tokens that require gas, and assets you no longer care about. A systematic cleanup is safer than randomly sending everything.
Inventory the wallet first
List each native coin, token, and network before making transactions.
Do not assume two assets with similar names use the same chain.
Identify what pays the fees
ERC-20 tokens generally need ETH for gas, BEP-20 tokens use BNB, and other networks have their own native fee assets.
A token balance can be stuck simply because the wallet has no native gas coin.
Compare value against transaction cost
Move worthwhile balances first. Tiny balances can wait if the network fee would consume most of their value.
Finish with the leftovers
Once valuable balances are handled, decide whether the remaining crypto should be consolidated, ignored, converted, or intentionally sent away.
